The obverse of the coin shows a view of a target through the barrel of a weapon. This view is framed by the years 1824 and 2024, and the anniversary &#8220;200 years of the SSV&#8221;. The reverse of the gold coin is, like the reverse of the SSV special coin in silver, a historical echo of times gone by: the first forerunner of the later shooting thaler was minted in 1842 with an official value of 4 FR to celebrate the shooting festival in Chur. The reverse of the &#8220;200 years of the SSV&#8221; special coin again features elements of this first coin minted to mark a shooting festival. On the reverse, clockwise, are the words CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA, the year of issue 2024 and the value 50 FR.
